Wow! What can I say...this
place is an outstanding place to stay,
absolutely perfect for a holiday getaway. We
arrived late on a Saturday night and were
welcomed in straight away by the owners who were
fantastic througout the holiday (more on them
later). The accomodation is excellent. Our villa
had two double bedrooms, both with ensuite
facilities that had recently been installed. The
villa was very clean and spacious. The pool and
sunbeds etc were excellent and exactly what you
need. It is the owners who make this place so
special. Gino, the owners brother who lives and
works on site (who is an absolute legend and the
nicest Italian we have ever met) was
unvelievably helpful and friendly. He did a
pizza night on two occasions where he cooked
fresh pizzas using ingredients from their own
garden. Two words...'absolutely delicious!'. On
our last day he even drove down to the butchers
especially for us to cook us a bbq which again
was perfectly cooked and delicious (biggest
steak I have ever had). Also the owners wife (who
is from Thailand) cooked us Thai food one
evening which again was fantastic. I can
honestly say that the owners of this place are
the best hosts I have ever seen anywhere in the
world! We will definately be returning to this
place with absolutely no hesitation. 10 out of
10 all round!

Our first trip to Italy
and we couldn’t believe how lucky we were to
find Casa Sorrento for our week stay in
Sorrento. When two couples are traveling
together, it is difficult to find two bedroom
accommodations that are equal for both couples.
Casa Sorrento has two bedrooms and two bathrooms
of equal size. It was very clean and was well
equipped for preparing simple dinners that were
purchased at the local market on our way back to
Casa Sorrento after a day of sightseeing. The
grounds are well maintained. There is a very
nice swimming pool, and a large gazebo where we
enjoyed relaxing with a glass of wine and eating
dinners The property has lots of lemon trees and
the feel of the Italian countryside, but you are
only a few minutes’ walk to the main piazza, the
train station or the ferry (for trip to Capri).
The uphill walk from the train station to Casa
Sorrento is about 15 minutes, but with luggage
it can be difficult. We are all in our 60’s and
made the walk, with luggage and backpacks, but
it wasn’t easy. The trip back to the train
station (downhill) was a lot easier. We took day
trips to Capri, Pompeii, Herculaneum and the
Amalfi Coast. We also walked around Sorrento
several days, but would have enjoyed even more
time. It is a beautiful city and the people are
very warm and friendly and always very helpful.
We all want to thank Antonio and his family, and
Luigi for a wonderful week. They were all very
helpful and made us feel very welcome in their
country. The Italian family lives on the
property and will assist you with anything you
need. They will arrange for a car, a taxi,
suggest a great restaurant or just answer a
question. We hardly ever saw them, but when we
needed them they were always available. We spent
three weeks in Italy, but the week at Casa
Sorrento was the most enjoyable. We hope to
return again soon.

Just returned from 7 days
in Villa Casa Sorrento. The pictures really do
not reflect the beauty of the complex. Casa
Sorrento was large enough for a family of 5, the
air con worked a treat, the pool is large enough
when all villas are full and the grounds are
beautiful. The whole place is extremely tidy and
Antonino and his family cannot do enough for you!
We will be returning in 2 years time as we
enjoyed our holiday that much. There are two
small supermarkets within 3/4 mins walk and and
a larger one about 10 mins walk. Although the
villas are 10 mins from Piazzo Tasso it is very
quiet.

Just back from a week in
complex and it was super. We were there for a
family wedding (14 of us in total) and we took 3
of the apartments. The place was so perfect for
us, we were so relaxed and felt right at home.
It is brilliant for children who can run around
and be free, which they couldn't do in a hotel.
The owners were so helpful and friendly and made
us feel so welcome, they did everything they
could to accommodate us. The gardens and pool
are so pretty, we basically had it to ourselves.
The apartment is about a 10 min (max) walk to
the town, but you feel like you are in the
countryside, it couldn't be better. I would
highly recommend this as a place to stay for
anyone who appreciates authentic Italian living
with all the tourist facilities close by. It was
a wonderful retreat and we would definitely go
back. Like the previous review said, it's like a
hidden gem, but should be shared, cos it's so
great!

Great spot in southern
Italy!
We just returned from spending a week at Casa Sorrento.
Alex, Antonino and his wife and everyone else involved
were great to deal with and always available when
we had questions or to inquire if we needed anything.
The place was spotlessly clean inside and out, in
a quiet neighborhood with mostly the sound of roosters
crowing in the morning, birds singing and if a gust
of wind came up a lemon or orange may fall off the
tree (there are many on the property)
We did not need a car and could walk downtown easily
or to train station or port for Pompeii or Capri.
It is a great place for a large family gathering
as there are several separate apartments on the
property.
Ciao!

I just wanted to let
you know what a wonderful time we had at Casa Sorrento
- A peaceful, beautiful property which was delightfully
comfortable and well equipped in an ideal location
to allow us to get in and out of Sorrento with ease
while keeping us well away from the noise and bustle
of the centre of town. It is particularly well suited
to travellers interested in walking around the Sorrentine
peninsula as there are many stunning and interesting
walks into the hills above Sorrento which start
just outside the front door. One of the best holidays
we have ever had and a real "find". I'd happily
return - if only to sample the delicious oranges
and lemons growing in the pleasant gardens surrounding
the property.

Sorrento: has always been one of the
greateast attractions in Southern Italy. The
structure of the old centre of Sorrento and some
archaeological remains make us think it was a
Greek city or at least it was heavily influenced
by the Greeks.
Marina Piccola that is an important shunting
station: more than the third part of all
international tourists travelling in the Gulf of
Naples pass on this harbour. Sorrento has been
able to propose itself as the center of a larger
touristic area, giving hospitality also to those
want to visit the near localities of Capri,
Pompeii, Herculaeum, Positano and Amalfi Coast
with daily excursions or by hydrofoil, bus or
train. Near the harbour of Marina Piccola there
are the bathing establishments of Sorrento;
Piazza Tasso (Main Square) with famous
Restaurants, Bar, Pub, Shops, is the unavoidable
crossroads to reach every place in Sorrento and
the characteristic sorrentine little lanes,
which represent the heart of the shopping center
and of the old town; Marina Grande (Large
Marina), which was the only seafaring village in
Sorrento until the 15th century; The Cloister of
San Francesco next to the pubblic garden and the
Correale Museum.
